A Farmhouse Beauty from Bauscher Construction

Bauscher Construction, a second-generation remodeling company based in the Cincinnati area, completed a simply gorgeous project in a Hyde Park home that surpassed the expectations of the homeowners, Liz and Chris.

“The home was 110 years old when we bought it, with a very tiny non-functional kitchen, and we knew we needed to make some changes when we moved in,” says Liz.

Tasked with creating a larger kitchen and dining space for family to gather and spend time together as well as a larger more user-friendly deck, the Bauscher team went into action.

Liz and Chris have worked with several contractors, but this one really made an impression on them.

“One of the things that was such a breathtaking difference was the professionalism of Bauscher,” says Chris.

Working closely with the homeowners, a plan for a farmhouse style in the kitchen with reclaimed wood beams in the ceiling and the use of several materials was developed.

The great mix of materials included hand-hewn wood beams, honed Carrara marble countertops, glass backsplash tile, a polished chrome faucet and oiled bronze pendant lights.

The result is amazing, and not only was the project completed on time, but Liz and Chris were intimately involved every step of the way.

“We had just amazing communication, from day one to finish, on exactly what was happening day to day,” says Liz. “There were no surprises.”

The clients were so happy with the work from Bauscher Construction that they did a testimonial video for the company in which they say there is no other remodeler they would recommend.

“Even in the relatively short time we’ve had this remodeled, we’ve had folks come to us and say, ‘We want to do a remodel. Who should we use?’” says Chris. “And without hesitation we say, ‘There’s one name, and it’s Bauscher.’”
