A permanent staycation

Major house remodeling project invites the outdoors in for an active family of eight

These homeowners love the outdoors, so they took advantage of the wooded back yard and added windows to most of this home-even the large shower design.

Two bathroom vanities, positioned as mirror images, and an oversized shower allows for plenty of elbow room in the master bath.

A set of double doors opens up to reveal a soothing master retreat, complete with plenty of floor space and a large connecting bathroom.

The areas shown in stone—the covered porch and the large section to the right—were major additions to the home’s front façade.

There’s plenty of room for the couple’s clothes, thanks to closet organizer systems in place.

This new and improved laundry room doubles as a mud room, allowing the family to contain the mess to one space.

The homeowners dog, Spike, sits on some outdoor furniture that is on the patio right outside of a master suite.

These homeowners installed windows all throughout their home design to take advantage of the natural light provided by the sun.
