An estate for equestrians

A custom home built for horse lovers boasts amazing river views

A wide-open living room, dining room and kitchen space was a key element of the initial design of this home.

By orienting the home so that the back elevation faced the stables and the river, the couple gained sweeping views from every major room.

This fireplace carries through with the same crab orchard stone that is found on the home’s exterior.

The rustic-meets-elegance feel of this home is evident in the master bedroom with its earthy ceiling and formal chandelier.

Lots of relaxation options are available as the screened outdoor space leads to an open-air patio and down to the freeform pool.

An aerial view of the land shows the home in the foreground with the stables and the Ohio River beyond.

When the weather is pleasant, a wall of windows recedes completely to allow for air—and guests—to flow easily between the dining room and outdoor living room.

Australian Shepherds Glory and Merica are well behaved while bathing in their dedicated space in the laundry room.
