A Madeira back yard takes some inspiration from the Big Easy
In this swimming pool are members of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Synchrogators swim team Paisley and Paige McCudden, along with Housetrends’ graphic designer Tara Burchfield’s daughter Reece.
Ironwork is key in creating the French Quarter aesthetic. Elsmere Ironwork created iron railings to match antiques the homeowners purchased for this space.
This tiered fountain is positioned to provide a dramatic view both from the pool and the street-side entrance.
LaMond Design helped design the brick path leading to the couple’s courtyard. The large fountain from Aquatic & Garden Décor is a lovely centerpiece of the space.
Housetrends’ staffers, friends and a few of the Gordons’ neighbors join in the fun after a warm evening photo shoot. The wooden canopy roof built by a master carpenter at Hoyle Construction mirrors the roof on the sunroom.
A half-circle of luxuriously padded furniture surrounds the fire pit and gets a view of the nearby swimming pool.
An inviting approach to the pool from the front of the house features a lush garden area and a waterfall.
This back yard boasts a variety of gathering spaces, including this outdoor dining area which sits in a shady spot on a side patio.
