A collection of remodeling projects merges for one stunning result
A major color transformation in the new kitchen went from stark white to inviting shades of sage and deep red, which complement the richly stained cabinets and stainless steel appliances perfectly.
Special touches in this remodeled kitchen include the floor-to-ceiling tiled wall behind the stove, the rich custom-designed, quarter-sawn oak Arts and Crafts-style cabinetry and the softly lustrous honed granite countertops.
Untouched during the previous owners’ renovation was a single set of butler’s pantry cabinets, an original part of the home. The Bauscher Construction craftsmen created custom built-in cabinets to match the existing butler’s pantry cabinets.
The materials used in a previous kitchen remodel were cheap, making the kitchen feel outdated. The couple wanted a modern, spacious area that fit within the style of their home.
The new Jack-and-Jill bathroom features a dual pedestal sink, a pocket door that can be used to close off the shower area, and crisp white wainscoting.
A new tumbled stone patio just off the back deck is surrounded by plantings that lend a charming woodland feel to this urban setting.
The kitchen was extended into the two-story addition to make space for the roomy breakfast area with arched doorway.
