New custom kitchen design thinks outside of the box

Despite all of the eye-catching details, the freestanding bathtub serves as the centerpiece in this master bathroom.

The kitchen designer for this home installed Merillat Cabinets and opted for the Temora door, which features a raised panel with bead detailing.

These wall cabinets are made of maple and include a mushroom paint topped with a cocoa glaze. The kitchen designer was truly daring in the way that he selected not just two colors for the kitchen, but three, with all of them complementing each other and adding their own qualities to the kitchen.

The large kitchen island and perimeter base cabinets are topped with a slate stain, which helps to offset the cabinetry from the rich wood flooring.

The separate his-and-her bathroom vanities feature dark wood cabinetry to complement the lighter tones of the tile.

Walk in shower designs, like the one seen directly behind this bathtub, continue to be a popular trend for master bathrooms.

The laundry room decor used in this home definitely dresses the space up, especially in comparison to the typical dark, basement laundry room, making doing laundry less of a chore.

These black kitchen cabinets in the breakfast area are made of cherry wood and feature a vintage onyx finish.
