Wine cellar wows all
Dublin homeowner creates a space to honor her heritage
The wood flooring is made of reclaimed oaken, vintage wine barrels, with the distinctive markings of individual wineries still visible.
This wine cellar features a lot of custom woodwork to support the many bottles that the owners store there.
This hand-carved, bow-front, built-in cabinetry storage system was created by Westwood Cabinetry and Millwork from African mahogany and Black Maple. The red-rubbed glaze deepens the impact of this one-of-a-kind piece, which features a wine-tasting area and drawers for additional storage.
The arch motif predominates throughout the unique interior of the wine cellar, most notably in the barrel-vaulted ceiling, covered in Seneca Tile Handmold—in reflection honey—by Hamilton Parker. The Handmold, hand-formed clay tile, is characterized by irregular edges and inviting texture. The transparent glaze accentuates the random pressures of hand forming.
Pillowed Arabesque vintage jewel thatch tiles from Classico are illuminated by pendant lighting that echos the ironwork of the adjacent wine armoire.
