Tile flooring rules all
Written by: Abby Weingarten
Choosing tile flooring options for the kitchen, bathroom, foyer or any other heavily traveled room in the house can seem daunting. Materials—from stone to porcelain to ceramics—are available in every hue, shape and texture. They may look similar to the naked eye, but their properties and uses are surprisingly diverse. Natural stone has a “wow” factor that can dress up any home entrance or highlighted living area. Porcelain is harder and denser than most ceramic products and less likely to stain than natural stone. Ceramic tiles, especially when glazed, are nearly impervious to stains and water damage. They can also weather high humidity, so they thrive for years in bathrooms and kitchens. The possibilities are endless, so we thought that we'd whip up a wide variety of choices to help make your selection, or even just window shopping, easier.
