How to get your home back-to-school ready

It’s that time of year again. School buses can be seen sleepily creeping through the streets, learning the (for now) unfamiliar stops on their route. Any store worth its salt is stocking up on rigid 3-ring binders and economy-sized boxes of pens…all of which you can guarantee you will be replacing within the first month of school as your child—eyes glued to the glowing screen of a cell phone—shrugs and says, “I swear I don’t know where all of my No. 2 pencils went but I have to have one for first period tomorrow.”
While you can’t exactly help them keep track of their supplies at school, there are a couple of things you can do at home to get them back-to-school ready.
1) Help them get to work by creating a study space
