Soaking the troubles away
Written by: Amy Diehl
Situated on 20 acres of land on a small semi-private lake, the exterior façade of this 7,425-square-foot home reflects a Spanish eclectic influence from the cobblestone courtyard pavers and ivy covered walls to the round staircase and green painted shutters on the windows. The terracotta tile roofs, stucco walls and the spears of Italian Cypress flanking the front door definitely pull in the Italian influence. No surprise here since the husband of the couple that built this home spent a year of his youth in Italy.
Designed and built by The Fechtel Company, this home was carefully planned over several years to incorporate many special features that the homeowners had seen during their visits abroad.
