Discover gracious living in Bexley

Bexley House & Garden Tour, Sunday June 1, from 10 am to 4 pm.

  • Housetrends
Bexley Women’s Club presents an original illustration of their home to all homeowners on the tour.

Take a closer look behind the front doors and stroll down the garden paths of some of the loveliest and most inspiring homes in the Columbus suburb of Bexley. Eight homes and gardens and a newly developed city park pond are open during the 2025 Bexley House & Garden Tour on Sunday, June 1, from 10 am to 4 pm.

From a renovated colonial that blends classic elegance and modern amenities, to a 1920s home filled with architectural surprises and fantasy-inspired décor, this year’s tour offers a rare glimpse into some of the finest gems along Bexley’s tree-lined streets.

Tourers will find inspiration in homes that have been professionally designed and landscaped, as well as home interiors and gardens created by the very talented homeowners themselves. Surprises await in the hidden designs molded into a century home and “secret” rooms found up winding stairs and on balconies. The homes and gardens on the tour also offer unique and creative design ideas tourers can take away for their own homes or wish lists.

The Bexley House & Garden Tour offers several ways to see the homes. A tour guide booklet with map is provided at each site so that tourers can begin at any site along the tour route. The free Bexley BEAT bus will make regular trips around the tour route for those who prefer to ride, or they can drive on their own. Bicycle corrals are provided at each tour site. This small community with its sidewalks on every street and many tree-filled medians is a walker’s paradise. Measuring only three miles from north to south, Bexley is a popular walking spot and an easy jaunt for hikers. Restaurants, pizza and ice cream shops are centrally located along Main Street, and food trucks along the tour route provide refreshing stops during the tour day.

Walking, riding or biking, tourers also have the opportunity to enjoy Bexley’s extensive tree canopy consisting of more than 14,000 trees. Bexley residents love their trees! In fact, in 2013 the City of Bexley was accredited as an arboretum by the Morton Register of Arboreta, making it the first city in the United States to obtain this accreditation.

Proceeds from the Bexley House & Garden Tour fund the Bexley Women’s Club scholarship program and its many community, service and educational projects.
