Kit home gets a new kitchen

A unique home nestled in nature gets an updated kitchen

The entire wall of the original kitchen was pushed back to make room for a more inviting traffic flow.

During the renovation, the original structure’s foundation was wrapped in stone and a screened porch replaced the open deck.

Borrowing space from another part of the kit house, allowed the kitchen designer to include room for a coffee station and a large pantry behind the translucent glass door.

The addition of radiant heat flooring in the kitchen and dining space elevated the floor by nearly three inches, so all windows and doors had to be replaced and raised.

This octagon-shaped home tucked in the woods has exceptional views of the surrounding forestry, and even a creek.

Blue Fusion granite covers the kitchen counters and adds a rich backsplash on either side of the refrigerator.

Stunning views from the kitchen include a creek and a wooded hillside on one side and a private pond on another.

The home’s discreet location may have helped the couple land the property: she saw the sign while jogging past before it was listed.
