Stainless steel kitchen appliances are beautiful to look at, but they aren’t exactly maintenance free. If it seems like you’re always wiping away fingerprints or smudges, the experts at Sub-Zero are sharing a few tricks of the appliance cleaning trade.
The appliance manufacturer recommends using a lint-free or microfiber cloth and a stainless steel cleaner to remove any food stains. Apply a polish to maintain luster and protect the surface from future food stains. Always apply cleaner and polish in the same direction as the grain.
Ammonia can also be used to clean stainless steal. After using ammonia, the surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth and thoroughly dried to prevent hazing. Better results are obtained by keeping the cloth in continuous contact with the stainless steel.
