Cranberry sage cocktail

Seasonal specialties from the Housetrends team

  • Housetrends

INGREDIENTS
½ cup gin
1 cup white cranberry juice
2 tbsp lime juice
¼ cup fresh cranberries
Sage leaves (some of them candied)
Sugar

DIRECTIONS
Make the candied sage ahead of time. Dissolve ½ cup sugar in ½ cup boiling water. Let it cool. Then dip in the sage leaves one at a time and let dry on waxed paper. Plan on two candied sage leaves per drink.
Add ice to two martini or cocktail glasses. Add in ½ of the cranberries to each glass.
Muddle two (non-candied) sage leaves in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, gin, cranberry and lime juice. Shake and strain into two prepared glasses.
Top with a couple of candied sage leaves and serve.

“I love how this drink looks when I serve it during the holidays.” Karen Bradner-Editor
