Whether you are walking, hiking, skating or biking, the Little Miami Scenic Trail is ready to lead the way for an outdoor adventure that is full of sights, sounds, scents and tastes. This scenic, paved path begins south of Newtown, then travels approximately 78 miles, much of it through scenic countryside and forested areas alongside the Little Miami River. The trail passes through charming towns including Mariemont, Milford, Miami Township, Loveland, Deerfield Township, Mason, Lebanon and Xenia, ending in Springfield.

All these communities, and more, have enticing food and drink establishments within easy access of the trail—in many cases just steps away. Grab a bite, enjoy a brew, or treat yourself to ice cream. You’ll have all the time you need—the trail is open from dawn to dusk. This map points out dozens of delicious options.

How and where to get started
You can enter the trail from any number of points. The Little Miami Scenic Trail is just one segment of a network of 375 miles of trails in Ohio’s Miami Valley region, the largest paved trail network in the nation. You can view an interactive map to see access points, available parking, and restroom locations along the entire network at: miamivalleytrails.org/trail-map.
If you need a bike, there are several rental spots along the trail including The Hub at 50 West in Mariemont. You might even want to add a bit of zip and cover more ground by renting an eBike from The Hub. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are allowed on the Little Miami Scenic Trail because they don’t exceed the 20-mph speed limit.
