A bathroom worthy of Bond

Rocky River townhome takes a stylish home

Once dark and cramped, this new masculine bathroom design is open and bright, with rich textured furnishings.

From a distance the tile flooring mimics wood planking, giving a rugged texture and warmth to the neutral palette of deep java brown, grey, chrome and white.

The sconces set against the unique wall of Stilato Tempest opera glass tiles is so striking, the homeowner used a picture of the space in his company’s indoor lighting catalog.

The bench seating serves as a built-in valet, offering hooks for towels and deep drawers for extra bathroom storage.

Clean, strong lines and high tech features and electronics, including digital remote controls for the shower, an air masseur soaking tub, and a flat-screen television, dominate this renovated master bath.

Starfire extra clear glass was used for the bathroom shower doors after one of the remodelers realized that regular glass would have a green tint to it and that the shower tile would appear to be greenish as well.

Polished chrome hardware, like this Moen shower faucet, stands out against the unique wave texture of the white shower tile, painstakingly installed to ensure unbroken vertical lines.

Centered over the tub, the chandelier by Hinkley Lighting is from the contemporary Cirrus line, and serves as the main bathroom lighting source as well as providing an eye-catching detail and soft light.

The bathroom remodeling ideas used in this space helped to add a masculine touch to the bathroom without over-using chrome and harsh lines.
