Randy Beals’ business is seasonal. It keeps him busy seven days a week, ten hours a day from May through August. Randy appreciates the value of coming home to an outdoor getaway even more than most people; because outdoors—pools, spas and kitchens—are both his business and his pleasure.
“It’s fantastic!” Randy says of his newly constructed backyard paradise. “I love cooking outdoors for my family and friends. It keeps everybody outside enjoying the weather.” His in-ground spa is something he enjoys year round. “I’m in there four or five days a week. It’s the perfect way to relax. Sitting in the spa next to the waterfall and pond is a great escape.”
Randy and his wife Sharon collaborated with several design professionals to create an outdoor environment redolent of a mountain lake resort.
Pete Biernesser of Glacier Incorporated artfully placed the boulders that added to the mountain character and elevation. His company not only built the stone wall and flagstone patio, but also created many stone features unique to the Beals’ home.
A custom-made boulder bar complete with refrigerator for beverages is a favorite destination for all visitors. When guests keep Randy company at the outdoor kitchen, they sit comfortably on barstools crafted from stone.
Charley Goetz from Brandon Landscaping has worked with Randy before. His designed landscapes complement several pools installed by Paradise Pool and Spa. For the Beals home he installed natural plantings in keeping with the mountain lake theme.
Fallingwaters, an aqua design company, did an amazing job creating a waterfall from what had been flat land; making it look as if it had always been there.
Randy and Sharon, along with their two sons Brandon and Austin, enjoy all that their home outside has to offer. It allows for good family-together times, where the four of them can get away…while staying home.
