Epic tailgating wings

  • Heather Fox

Built for game day and loved every day, these wings bring the perfect punch of bold flavor and heat together, keeping your crew coming back for more.

FOR THE WINGS
• 3 lbs of chicken wings
• 1 tbsp of baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder

THE SAUCE
• 1/2 cup of your favorite hot sauce (We used Frank’s RedHot)
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 2 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS

1. Prep the Wings
Pat wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss with baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
2. Get Them Crispy
Preheat oven to 425°F. Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy Or Air fry at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway.
3. Make the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in hot sauce, honey, brown sugar, smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Sauce It Up
Transfer crispy wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce over and toss until fully coated.
5. Serve & Dominate
Top with chopped parsley or green onions. Serve hot with ranch or blue cheese.

Then get back to the game.

TAILGATING TIP
Make the sauce ahead of time and keep it warm in a thermos. Reheat wings on grill for that smoky, crispy finish. You can also serve multiple sauces, HOT, HONEY BBQ, GARLIC PARM or even a HOT HONEY to give your crew choices.
