Seasonal specialties from the Housetrends team

  • Housetrends

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs shrimp, shells split and deveined
2 ½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
¾ cup beer (or ½ cup dry white wine)
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup water
Lemon wedges, for serving

DIRECTIONS
Toss shrimp with Old Bay seasoning.
Add olive oil to pan and heat on medium-high heat.
When pan is smoking, add shrimp and let sit for 30 seconds to sear shrimp and create brown bits on bottom of pan.
Toss shrimp and add beer or wine.
Cook for 30 seconds and add butter and water.
When shrimp turns pink, taste the broth and add salt, pepper and Old Bay seasoning as needed.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
