Remodeling ideas transform a former warehouse into a dream home

The 1923 railroad warehouse has been completely renovated into a residence featuring a combination of industrial and contemporary influences.

Despite the downtown urban setting, the homeowner was able to create a private outdoor living space, complete with a patio and hot tub.



Lush green trees and shrubs, along with wood panels, provide privacy for the gathering area behind the home.

The custom-built bar features reclaimed wood, iron piping and marble—creating a one-of-a-kind, inviting gathering area.

A pair of orbit light fixtures brightens an eclectic mixture of elegant framed mirrors hanging on the wall of the main hallway.



A 42-inch custom red mahogany front entry door greets guests as they walk up the brick staircase.

The original wood columns and beams were kept intact, while the floors were replaced with wood-look porcelain tile in large 8x48-inch planks.

An eye-catching mural, painted by Manny Lopez, can be found along the side exterior wall of the home.



The porcelain tile flooring and brick veneer accent wall treatment was carried into the design of the master bedroom, which also includes an upholstered headboard and gray and white bedding.

The blades from an antique industrial fan were preserved and now adorn the shelf above the entrance way, while the stand now serves as the base of a cocktail table.
